Tarrytown offers it residents a variety of

were drawn to the area building luxurious estates over looking
the Hudson. Millionaires like John D. Rockefeller, the Lehmans,
and Jay Gould helped Tarrytown earn the reputation as the
"millionaires colony." Mark Twain built a home where
the Tappen Hill Restaurant now stands.
